Jaycees complete work project at the Humane Society of Northeast Georgia
The Gainesville Jaycees recently assisted the Northeast Georgia Humane Society with some renovations to their existing facility. The project was attended by over 30 Jaycees, along with their wives and children. The work project, the second of 2010, was established with Rick Aiken
(President of the Humane Society) when a need arose to have a number of equipment trailers be painted, outside dog runs to be maintained, rooms to be painted and transfer vehicles to be updated.
This work project follows the Jaycee creed with a foundation of "service to humanity".
The
Jaycees set the bar high for 2010 after raising record amounts in
donations, aiding a record number of needy children in Hall County and
breaking ground on several successful new ventures -- this on top of
continuing longtime successes such as the Mule Camp Market and Gut Check program.
