Kevin Ellison Named Jaycees Player of the Week

MOUNT AIRY -- Habersham Central quarterback Kevin Ellison has punished opposing defenses so far this season, putting up over 700 yards of offense, including 526 yards rushing, and 14 touchdowns.

The senior standout played a key role in last week's 43-39 comeback win over Salem in Mt. Airy, rushing for 101 yards and scoring three touchdowns and also passing for another 146 yards with two touchdowns.

For his efforts, Ellison was named the Gainesville Jaycees' Player of the Week -- presented by Jacobs Media.

Ellison is also just yards from the school rushing record.
