Gut Check

Founded by the Gainesville Jaycees in 1997, Gut Check has impacted hundreds of young men’s lives throughout Gainesville/Hall County. Each summer, 50 middle school boys take part in a four day boot camp program where they learn effective team building, overcome obstacles, and conquer their fears. The culmination of the weekend is a march up Yonah Mountain, followed by rappelling down its sheer rock face! Gut Check is intended to build the foundation for these young men to be successful, productive members of their family, school, and community.
